At Wednesday’s Democratic Party meeting at the Zionsville Town Hall were congressional candidate David Sanders and Indiana Secretary of State candidate Vop Osili.

Sanders said it’s time for a real change in government. “I’ve heard the frustration of many of government in general and a representative in particular,” Sanders said. Sanders, an associate professor of biological sciences at Purdue University, said it’s important for a representative to have the training to understand many of the complex nationwide issues, such as energy change and weapons of mass destruction. And he shared the four cornerstones of his political philosophy: Fiscal responsibility, true public service, protection of constitutional liberties and respect for veterans. “American veterans know they have a friend in me,” he said.
