Sanders calls on Rokita to answer Project Smart Vote survey

LAFAYETTE, IN (WBAA) – A candidate running in the 4th Congressional District is asking his opponents to respond to a questionnaire.

Democrat David Sanders says he’s responded to the Project Vote Smart survey and also formulated a pledge not to use the information provided in any partisan activity, such as attack ads.

He says information he provided for voter education purposes was used against him when he ran for the office in 2006.

Still, Sanders feels it’s important to respond to the Project Vote Smart questionnaire during this campaign.

He says Libertarian candidate John Duncan pledged to abide by the rules, but he has not heard back from Republican Todd Rokita.

A spokesperson for Rokita says they’ve received the Political Courage Test, but have not yet responded.

Answers will be published on the Project Vote Smart website next week.
