US and Iraq -- New Film Explores a Canadian Point of View

Toronto, ON (PRWeb) January 30, 2007 -- Omer Pasha's short film venture 'Come To Me (Ashura-Festival Edit)' features symbolism and portraits from the story of Karbala and the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (as) grandson of the Holy Prophet Muhummad (pbuh). The video features mourning of a woman (Farhat Pasha) for Zainab (as), sister of Imam Hussain (as) and Shiah acts of martydorm for the remembrance of Imam Hussain (as) performed by Omer Pasha. The message of the film is 'The Hurt Of Karbala Will Only Be Undone On Resurrection,' the reappearing of Imam Mahdi and Jesus Christ will bring resurrection closer.

Most of the film has been filmed in Vancouver; an excerpt from a live performance at one of the local community shows at the Dufferin Hotel. The film has partially been filmed in Pakistan and its post-production succession achieved in Toronto. This unique Canadian venture will be also given European exposure as well as air play in the Middle East. The video narrates the story in form of pictures and displays the shrines of these warriors today. The Karbala event / festival of mourning will take place on 10th Muharram around January 28-29-30, 2007 in Karbala,Iraq

Up till today, Iraq has always remained chaotic, brutal and torturous as horrifying regimes have passed through it. The video shows that it's the obvious destiny to stay this way until resurrection because the blood of the Holy Prophet's (pbuh) grandson and his family has flown in the land of Karbala and is still fresh today with grief and tragedy. The political analysis follows. When a youthful American soldier enters the land of sorrow, he is caught off guard and quickly taken up by the grief and cursedness of the land and has to lay his life.

He would then come to know about the terrible living tragedy that was so dear to God. Thus modern political theories and reasons presented by leaders today to bring security to us have neglected the key elements to the root start of all tragedy, war and chaos in the land of Iraq. Retreat is the only light of happiness left today for the American troops, their families, loved ones and those who support them. The American soldier who dies is purely innocent and is forcefully caught up in the cursed land of grief and thus achieves the status of martyr hero because he is unaware of the gruesome history of the land he has stepped upon.
