Maryland Merchandising Company Shares the American Spirit in Iraq

Lanham, MD (PRWeb) February 24, 2007 -- Maryland-based G&G Outfitters, Inc., specializing in merchandise solutions for large corporate clients, has joined the efforts of our troops in Iraq in spreading America's spirit of giving by providing American baseball caps to troops for distribution to children in Iraqi orphanages.

"Caps for Kids" is a program created by Army Lieutenant Colonel William Devine who realized that he could lift the spirits of the young children in Iraqi orphanages, some of whom have sustained serious injuries during the War, by giving them American baseball caps. He then decided to enlist the help of his friends and family in America to provide more caps for distribution to children in the orphanages, as well as to other Iraqi citizens.

LTC Devine contacted Al McCormick of the Maryland-based coaching organization Most Valuable Player, to be the facilitator of "Caps for Kids" donations. LTC Devine is the father of one of the Most Valuable Player alumni and who has a close relationship with the organization, which provides developmental programs for baseball athletes.

Keeping it all in the "family" the senior McCormick passed the opportunity to his son who works for G&G Outfitters, one of the industry's leading providers of corporate apparel and promotional products. The owners of G&G, Rich Gergar and Doug Gardner, were happy to join the efforts and promptly sent off a shipment of caps overseas.

Anyone is encouraged to donate to the cause. Visit http://www.mostvaluableplayer.biz for more information on how to help.

Based in Lanham, Maryland G&G Outfitters is a national high-volume provider of full-service merchandise solutions . Along with satellite sales office in Wilmington, Delaware and Kansas City, Missouri, G&G's full-service overseas procurement division, G&G International, is located just outside of Denver, Colorado.
