Top Israeli Counter Terrorism Expert Joins SSC, Inc.

Shelton, Conn. (PRWeb) March 27, 2007 -- SSC, Inc. (SSC),, the leader in security for the tri-state region, has announced the appointment of Amit Gavish to the new position of Senior Corporate Advisor for International Security Issues. Gavish, a former Deputy Director of Security at the office of the President of Israel, will oversee risk assessment, physical security testing and training for SSC's private and government clients, with special emphasis on international companies.

"Amit has the unique experience and expertise to help us expand our commitment to our international corporate clients. His security work for the President of Israel and his counter terrorism work in the United States will help us address our clients' global and domestic security issues."

Gavish, a veteran of the Israel Defense Force, held the position of Deputy Director of Security for the President of Israel, from 2000 to 2004, where he was responsible for daily security operations, as well as training staff and developing and implementing security procedures. He has also served as a research assistant at Harvard University where he investigated Persian Gulf Security, Iran, Iraq and the Arab-Israeli Conflict. Before joining SSC, he worked as a Senior Counter Terrorism Consultant for Applied Risk Management LLC, of Boston, Mass. where he trained Logan International Airport staff on Counter Terrorism and oversaw vulnerability assessments for a Liquefied Natural Gas facility.

"Amit's unique security and anti-terrorism expertise will help us address the global security issues affecting our international clients," said Linsky. "His presence will enhance our ability to provide comprehensive vulnerability assessments that analyze everything from terrorism and its impact on the corporation to the most basic physical security issues to the social, political and economic risks to corporations operating overseas. Gavish has a master's degree in Contemporary Middle Eastern Studies and a bachelor's in international relations, both from Hebrew University, Jerusalem.
