MD-IT Adds Regional Office in Indiana

Boulder, CO (PRWEB) May 29, 2007 -- MD-IT, a provider of medical transcription services and software to physicians and ambulatory clinics, announced today that it has added a new regional office in Northern Indiana with the acquisition of Michiana Transcribers, Inc. The former owner received a combination of cash and stock in the transaction and has joined MD-IT's management team as the Managing Director Northern Indiana.

"We joined MD-IT because of the technology it allows me to offer my clients," said Steve Squibb, who founded Michiana Transcribers 14 years ago after a career in sales. "Electronic medical records (EMRs) are the wave of the future, and I wanted to be able to help my clients move towards full EMR implementation. With MD-IT's service and software, our clients have access to electronic records through a web-based system that is both convenient and affordable."

"We are very pleased to add another location to our national network of transcription offices," noted Tom Carson, president and CEO of MD-IT. "We have built our business on the value of providing personal service and support through our local offices while offering the technology resources of a national company."

MD IT specializes in serving physician offices and ambulatory clinics. This market is estimated to be $7 billion out of the $10 billion spent annually on medical transcription in the US, with hospitals accounting for the remaining $3 billion. While most large transcription organizations have systems designed primarily for hospital clients, MD-IT has designed its services and software to meet the unique needs of ambulatory care facilities.

About MD-IT
MD-IT provides Intelligent Transcription services and software to 2,200 physicians and clinicians in 300 medical practices and clinics throughout the United States. The company combines the benefits of local office ownership with the resources of a national company to offer personalized service supported by leading technology. The privately held company is located in Boulder, CO, with regional offices in Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Maryland, Minneapolis and Texas. Additional information can be found at www.md-it.com.
