Israel Consul Announces Kadima Hebrew Academy Student to Participate in Speaker's Bureau

West Hills, CA (PRWEB) May 19, 2007 -- Under the gleaming nose of Air Force One at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, 250 Kadima Hebrew Academy (http://www.kadimaacademy.org) supporters and community leaders gathered on Sunday evening, May 6, 2007, to celebrate Kadima Hebrew Academy's Putting Dreams in Flight Gala.

A highlight of the evening was when Kadima Board of Trustees President, Shawn Evenhaim, presented the Kadima Community Leadership Award to Consul General of Israel Ehud Danoch. In his remarks, Mr. Danoch praised the many accomplishments that Kadima and its students have achieved during the school's 37 year history. He specifically commended the sixteen students who recently returned from an intensive exchange program in Israel. These seventh grade students represented Kadima's first delegation in the Jewish Federation sponsored Los Angeles Tel Aviv Partnership. Mr. Danoch announced that one representative from this delegation would be selected to serve as a member of the prestigious Israel Consul's Speakers Bureau where this student ambassador will speak throughout Los Angeles about his or her experiences during the trip and personal impressions of Israel.

The evening also included presentations by Head of School Dr. Barbara Gereboff to two generous Kadima families. Ronit & Amnon Band, who own Band PRO Film & Digital based in Burbank and Orna & David Delrahim, owners of Agoura Hills Car Wash. These outstanding couples were honored as Endowment Fund Benefactors as each made substantial contributions to begin the school's first endowment fund.

Like the meaning of its name, Kadima meaning forward, throughout its history, has represented an irreplaceable force in moving the local Jewish community forward to a new level of Jewish knowledge, commitment and dedication.

Proceeds raised at the event will benefit Kadima's scholarship, science, technology and athletic programs.
