Assessing the Opportunities Presented by the New Iraqi Currency
Could it be possible that you are staring right into the most spectacular financial opportunity of the century? Operation: Iraqi Freedom will undoubtedly be a war marked in history for loss and tragedy, American victory, and the rise of a nation with a new democratic government. But could it also be a war historically remembered for the financial opportunity it created for the sharp investors who keenly recognized an ephemeral chance at the right time? The War on Iraq ended with a nation placed on the footstool of many new operations.

A Cheap Holiday in Other Peoples Misery (catching up with Mordechai Vanunu in Israel)
One of my favourite pieces of music is the Sex Pistols' classic 'Holidays in the Sun' - a song that begins with the line, 'a cheap holiday in other people's misery'. This would have made a fitting epitaph for my holiday in Israel, except that the $3000 air ticket meant that it wasn't exactly cheap.

America: Leave Iraq! We Will Never Change Iraqi People

Biblical References To This Conflict And To Other American Interventions Show God's Displeasure.

We in America think that we are superior to other peoples of the world, from both a governmental and a religious standpoint. As we selectively try to police the world, we are making grave mistakes in our efforts to try to force our ideology on other cultures of the world.

Our intervention into Iraq falls into this unfavorable category, as the practices of certain governmental and business officials demonstrate: in their selfish motives and in the riches gained from this intervention (at the expense of the American people). But most unfavorable about the intervention are the great travesties committed against God (our Creator), as we go about trying to transform Iraqi people into our forms of governmental and religious practices.

Forcing our governmental practices on the Iraqi people alone are not the trespasses that offend God, but our arrogance and our fervor in trying to change their religious beliefs, to what is practiced in America, is what offends God. We, who practice today's Christianity, are not conforming to the guidelines that are outlined in God's Word. Today's Christian leaders are grossly misleading people, mainly because they, themselves, do not understand God's Truth.

The first time that America sent troops into Iraq (during Desert Storm); the motives were clear and justified, as we were only trying to liberate an occupied nation (Kuwait) from an oppressive regime. But the second and present occupation of Iraq by America is not justified, as we declared war on that country for reasons that have not proven to be valid. There has been no evidence to substantiate America's claims: that Iraq possessed and intended to use weapons of mass destruction. Our motives seemed to have been purely political.

The following Biblical Scriptures describe America's first intervention into Iraq:

"He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time." – Dan. 11:24.

"And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for they shall forecast devices against him." – Dan. 11:25.

"Yea, they that feed of the portion of his meat shall destroy him, and his army shall overflow: and many shall fall down slain." – Dan. 11:26.

"And both these kings' hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed." – Dan. 11:27.

"Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall do exploits, and return to his own land." – Dan. 11:28.

The following Biblical Scriptures describe America's present occupation of Iraq:

"At the time appointed he shall return, and come toward the south; but it shall not be as the former, or as the latter." – Dan. 11:29.

"For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant." – Dan. 11:30.

"And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits." – Dan. 11:32.

In the preceding scriptures, the reference to the king of the south is the reference to the (previous) dictator of Iraq; whereas, the reference to the south, is the reference to Iraq, itself. As it is revealed: America 'shall be grieved, and return home, and have indignation against the holy covenant'-- meaning that it will be a time of sorrow for America, while at the same time, America's Christian and governmental leaders will have anger against Abraham's covenant with God (through Abraham's son Ishmael).

The covenant made between God with Abraham, Hagar and Ishmael resulted in the religion of Islam being established. Those who try to undermine Islam are committing an abomination against God by not recognizing His covenant with Abraham, and his seed (which include the seeds of Ishmael as well as of Isaac).

God's religion is not Christianity! The religions of Judaism, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, and others are acceptable to God, as long as the individual worshipper understands, recognizes, and honors God only. Regardless as to which manmade religion is practiced, God's true Religion is: 'Total Submission to Him' (the meaning of the Arabic word: Islam).

Clarence G. Wilson was born in the southeastern part of the United States, in the middle of the twentieth century. Yes, Clarence was born a 'baby boomer' in the Bible Belt. From a very young age Clarence has had a curiosity and a fascination about God and Jesus, and about the Creation that we live in. Clarence was raised in a Baptist church with some exposure to the Methodist church. The Faith and love that Clarence learned in this environment now help him to endure life's situations, as he gives God all the praise for bringing him through all of life's circumstances. Clarence could not imagine trying to get though life without God as the Head and Protector.

Clarence pursued a career in engineering. He worked in that field for many years, as he and his wife raised three children. During that time Clarence could constantly see God in every aspect of his life and his work. Through Knowledge, Clarence now understands that Physical and Spiritual presence of God, that exists in all objects and elements of Creation. This relationship has given Clarence much insight in God's written Word.
