Oceanside, CA (PRWEB) November 17, 2006 -- EMichele Paul, the owner of PoeticWorks, has many roles she gladly accepts. She's a mother, poet, entrepreneur and United States Marine. She has helped over 30 poets become published through her company, which was formed August 2005. Recently, she received word that she would soon be deploying to Iraq. While shifting gears to prepare herself mentally for the next few months, another thought surfaced that she had put on ice for awhile. She has been thinking about publishing an all military book of poetry, written by service members that have served or are currently serving overseas. This thought came about while listening to poetry at an open mic night in Oceanside, California.
Whenever questioned why she has never written an all military poetry book, she simply responds, "It never seemed like the timing was right." While she is deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, her company, PoeticWorks, will be seeking military poems for their website along with regular submissions. While EMichele is deployed, she will continue to read the poems submitted and pick her "daily favorite" each day, which will appear on the front page of the site. At the end of her tour in Iraq she will publish an all military book of poems and dedicated it to those that have served proudly in the Armed Forces. All money received from the book sales will be donated to families that have lost a loved one in Iraq.
Since PoeticWorks was formed, it has always proudly displayed the yellow "Support Our Troops" ribbon on its site. It will continue to show its support for the military as long as there's one service member anywhere in the world in harms way. Support our troops.
