Fiscal Discipline
President Bush's tax cuts combined with his administration's irresponsible spending are an unmitigated disaster. The gigantic budget deficit is bankrupting America and endangers future economic growth. President Bush used every excuse (originally the temporary budget surplus) to justify the tax cut, which overwhelmingly favors the wealthy. Every justification was a distortion. Now he wants to make the tax cuts permanent, which would prevent the use of tax cuts
for economic stimulation in the future. The tax cuts are incredibly unfair and unproductive. Basic economics says you can't stimulate the economy by giving money to wealthy people who don't need to spend it.
