I favor increasing security at U.S. borders and ports. Congressman Buyer supported giving control of security at US ports to a company from Dubai. I do not support expansion of guest worker programs, because they do not contribute to a long-term solution to the situation. I believe that current laws against employing illegal immigrants need to be enforced. New technologies that can enhance border security and employer's abilites to identify illegal immigrants should be deployed. NAFTA, a poorly designed free-trade agreement, gave away American sovereignty and increased illegal immigration to the United States. Congressman Buyer is the only current Indiana Congressman who voted for NAFTA. I oppose unfair agreements like NAFTA.

Exploitation of the labor of illegal immigrants is wrong for America. The creation of an underclass who can be cheated at will is inconsistent with American values and damages the rights of theAmerican worker.
