The March of the Bonus Army
To: The Veterans, Troops, and Military families of Indiana’s 4th Congressional District
A Public Service Announcement from Democratic Candidate David Sanders regarding this coming Memorial Day 2006: PBS Presents “The March of the Bonus Army.”
I support Indiana’s Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and other Veterans Service Organizations in promoting the DAV National Service Foundation-sponsored Memorial Day program “The March of the Bonus Army” to be presented at 10:30 p.m. on Indiana PBS stations, Monday, May 29, 2006.
The March of the Bonus Army is a 30-minute living history narrated by actor Gary Sinise who played the Disabled Veteran Lt. Dan in the motion picture Forrest Gump. It is dedicated to our nation’s Veterans struggle for dignity, promised Veterans benefits, and a GI Bill of Rights that continues to this day.
